Workout 17.1

Online qualifier 17.1 RX

17.1 is a two part workout.
The athlete will have 5 minutes for a one max rep of the complex of one Power Clean, one Hang Squat Clean and one Jerk and will rest one Minute. On minute 6 the athlete will perform an eight minute Amrap of 2 Power Cleans, 4 alternating Frontrack Lunges and 8 Bar facing Burpess.

On 3.2.1.GO the athlete will load the desired weights onto the barbell and start the lift with a Power Clean. The Bar starts from the floor and the rep counts when the legs and hips are fully extended. Then the athlete will perform a Hang Squat Clean. For the rep to count, the hip crease needs to below parallel and at the top position the hips and legs need to be fully extended. Finally a Jerk, finishing with the hips, legs and arms fully extended. Any style of Shoulder to Overhead is permitted. A Press, Push Press, Jerk or Split Jerk as long as the proper finish position is reached. The lift counts when all three movements are performed according to standard without putting the bar down.

 

At minute 5 into the workout the athlete will rest for 1 minute

 

At minute 6 the athlete start with the  2 Power Cleans, starting with the bar from the floor, the rep counts once the legs and hips are fully extended and the bar is held in the front rack position. For the 4 Front Rack Lunges to count the Athlete will need to touch the floor with the knee and the hips and knees need to fully extended at the finish position. The 8 Burpees need to be performed perpendicular to the bar and the athlete needs to clearly touch the chest to the ground, the hip does not need to be extended when going over the bar.

 

For 17.1 two scores will be recorded.

17.1 is a two part workout

The athlete will have 5 minutes for a three rep max Deadlift and will rest one Minute. On minute 6 the athlete will perform an eight minute Amrap of 4 Deadlifts, 8 alternating Lunges and 12 Burpess over the bar.

On 3.2.1 GO the athlete will load the desired weights onto the Barbell and start the lift. The bar starts from the floor and the rep counts when the legs and hips are fully extended and the shoulders are clearly behind the bar.

 

The three lifts need to be performed as a touch and go. Letting go of the Barbell, bouncing the Barbell of the floor or taking more the one second break at the bottom position will result in a no rep and the athlete will have to restart the lifts.

 

At minute 5 into the workout the athlete will rest for 1 Minute

 

At minute 6 the Athlete start with the 4 Deadlifts, starting with the bar from the floor, each rep counts once the legs and hips are fully extended and the shoulders are clearly behind the bar. For the eight Lunges to count the athlete will need to touch the floor with the knee and the hips and knees need to fully extended at the top position.

 

The 12 bar facing burpees need to be performed perpendicular to the bar and the athlete needs to clearly touch the chest to the ground, the hip does not need to be fully extended when going over the bar.

 

For 17.1 two scores will be recorded.

You can go directly from the clean into the lunges!
